This artwork is an oil painting rendition of a piece of digital concept art. As with all renditions, credit of the idea goes to the original artist, but also with all renditions, some creative changes were made. If you look closer, the cave surrounding the two travellers, is slashed with a colossal claw mark in the depths of the shadows. ‘Cave of Wonderers’ is a tribute to imagination, a place I would often escape to as a child.

The light is poured over the rocks and figures, like water in a downpour. What it touches, it saturates. I love the way the light and the darkness battle through the composition of this painting.
